The MR Walls Backlight System is a turnkey illuminated wall-cladding solution that combines CNC-carved Corian® Solid Surface panels with coordinated LED rear illumination. Light passes through Glacier White Corian so the sculpted surface appears carved from light and the material itself glows. MR Walls provides the panels, LEDs, aluminum channels, power supplies, controllers, a remote control, and project-specific assembly and electrical documentation as one coordinated package.

Options include fixed-color lighting, standard RGB lighting with remote color-wheel control, and fully programmable RGB systems. Programmable systems can support color selection, intensity, scenes, animation, color cycling, and DMX control. The standard MR Walls Backlight System requires a minimum 3-inch depth from the existing wall structure to the finished panel face. This cavity helps reduce visible hot spots and creates soft, even diffusion across the carved surface. When that space is unavailable, MR Walls can offer a ¼-inch LED light panel as a special low-profile backup option.

Yes. The standard RGB remote allows users to dim the lights and select colors from a color wheel. Fully programmable RGB systems add scenes, animation, color cycling, and optional DMX control. Available controls depend on the lighting package selected for the project.

Any MR Walls design, whether Spec Ready or Studio Custom, can be evaluated for backlighting. Complex patterns, carving depths, colors, curves, or custom applications may require a project-specific mockup to verify the intended effect. MR Walls provides full-surface backlighting in Corian® Glacier White because its translucency is best suited to even illumination.

Yes, as a project-specific option. MR Walls can specify IP65-rated LED components for wet areas, water features, showers, and exterior installations. Corian® Solid Surface is nonporous, but every wet-area or exterior assembly must be detailed for the project conditions, required access, drainage, electrical protection, and applicable building codes.

MR Walls provides a coordinated Backlight System package that includes CNC-carved Corian® panels, LED lighting, aluminum mounting channels, power supplies, controllers, a remote control, assembly drawings, electrical requirements, installation guidance, and CSI specification language. Final scope is confirmed for each project.

The low-voltage lighting assembly can be installed by a qualified carpenter, specialty contractor, or other skilled installer who is experienced with low-voltage wiring, approved wire connectors, basic splicing, and controller and power-supply connections. The MR Walls installation diagrams must be followed.

MR Walls backlight assemblies are designed with lighting access from the top or side so the carved wall panels normally do not need to be removed. If an LED requires service, the lighting element can be accessed and replaced through the aluminum channel. The exact access location is coordinated in the project drawings before fabrication.
