BLOSSOM EVENT VENUE
LOS ANGELES
A branded floral facade that metal panels couldn't tell.
Design objective — The venue needed its exterior to carry its brand story — a textured, non-repetitive floral pattern. Their original metal facade read flat and panelized, boxing in the design intent.
Why Corian — Fully carved, seamless, non-repeating floral geometry — freedom no modular metal panel can match — using reeds as the base layer.
Installation — Rainscreen system on metal-stud framing, face-fixed with screws and plugs for a fast, ventilated exterior assembly.

CHRIST JOURNEY CHURCH
SOUTH FLORIDA
A GFRC design, reengineered in thermoformed Corian — lighter, cleaner, hurricane-rated.
Design objective — The church, its design team, and ownership had a facade concept originally drawn in GFRC. MR Walls matched that design intent exactly while solving what GFRC couldn't.
Why Corian over GFRC — GFRC ran too expensive, too heavy, and too porous — a surface that stains and dirties easily. Thermoformed Corian delivered the same forms in a lighter, non-porous, self-cleaning white that stays crisp outdoors.
Performance — 1,000 sq ft of custom thermoformed Corian panels, approved for hurricane winds up to 180 mph.
Installation — Heavy-duty French cleats with rear-connect cleats — secure, concealed, and serviceable.

Jamboree Bridge
irvine, ca (IN CONSTRUCTION)
Corian cladding for a pedestrian bridge — engineered to be touched.
Design objective — People cross this bridge on foot and run their hands along it, so the surface had to hold up to close contact. MR Walls was brought in early to consult with bridge engineer TYLin on a facade built for human scale.
Why Corian over aluminum — Selected for coastal weather resistance (Irvine sits near the ocean) and repairability — a scuffed panel can be washed clean, or sanded and repaired in place, not torn off and replaced. Aluminum cladding offers neither.
Fabrication — 5000+ precision-cut triangular panels, organized and CNC cut to wrap complex geometry at infrastructure scale.
Installation — Keep-Nut anchors set into the back of each panel: a fully concealed connection with zero visible fasteners on the finished face.
